Leonard Pardon
British Master
of Faux Painting
Leonard Pardon trained as an artist
then was apprenticed for 7 years to a British Master,
A. E. Baxby. Through Baxby he learnt the techniques which
had been passed through the generations since the middle
ages when faux or decorative painting, as it was then
known as, was the only form of decoration in Europe. Leonard
Pardon has through his own teaching and his step-by-step,
how to videos, passed this to a new generation of students
who are now successfully carrying out the work worldwide.
His clientele include Kings, Queens, Sultans, Sheikhs,
film stars, rock stars and many of the important "movers
and shakers". His work can be found in many Palaces,
Stately Homes, Hotels, Clubs, Private Houses and commercial
buildings in most the the world's major cities. He recently
had 13 of his series of videos shown Nation wide by PBS.
He has appeared on Discovery Channel on Home Matters and
made numerous guest appearances on overseas cable channels
particularly in South American countries.
He is based in Miami Florida where
he gives occasional Master classes.
